The United States has 5% of the world population which consist of every race, religion, and culture. The country promoted peace and democracy among different countries and brought about globalization which has become a threat in international terrorism, deadly technologies, economic crises, and changing climates. President Obama has a vision despite the global and domestic problems of the United States. His Vision is everything to maintain the United States leadership and primacy in the world a position that was inherently from the struggles of our founding fathers and our past leaders. In order to achieve this vision we need to strengthen our national security, innovation, education, and secure the economy. People wonder how the president vision can be a reality in terms of economic crisis and international terrorism. Obama Vision is to promote peace and maintain a good relationship with foreign countries despites the problems it may encounter "It is not the first time the United States president has been confronted with the double task of tackling a weak economy at home and turmoil abroad" (Kahn, 2011). Obama hopes to confront this situation and seeks for solutions. In his effort to promote peace around the world, the president was In Cairo in 2009, to seek for a new relationship between the U.S and Cairo in both mutual respect and Interest. Most countries in the world such as the North Africa and East Africa seek for help from the United States during their political and economy crises, "In Libya, rebels fighting against the longtime dictatorship of Moammar Gadhafi are clamoring for U.S. help and intervention." (Kahn, 2011). In addition, the U.S military intervention in Libya, debates has question if Obama has a grand strategy by critics around the globe. Although most of it critics says the U.S has "incompetence strategy" (Drezner, 2011) the fact is that Obama administration has a grand strategy, not only one but two grand strategy. The first strategy is "Multi-lateral retrenchment designed to curtail the United States overseas commitment, restore its standing in the world, and shift burdens onto global partners" (Drezner,2011).While the second grand strategy " focuses on counterpunching". According to Drezner the first strategy was clearly articulated, but deliver overwhelming policy results while the second strategy has performed better but has been poorly articulated. In contrast to the Bush administration after 9/11 He developed a well defined grand strategy but it implementation later caused more harm. Countries are usually judge by their actions and not by merely words. What matters for great countries is power- the national and economic strength that speaks loudly. (Drezner, 2011). It is important to construct a right grand strategy, it is important for a change of policy and it consists of a clear articulation of national interest combine with set of plans to develop them. When we are unsure about what next to come the Obama's grand strategy can provide a functioning guide, interprets current event and take a right decision toward policy response. Even before running for election, and prior his term as the U.S president ,the country has faced challenges to it foreign policy in the middle east and north Africa, such as the war in Afghanistan, terrorism, foreign aid , democracy promotion ,and on going global financial crisis. This report has been overview issues of the 112th congress (CRS, 2011). The United States maintains good relationship with several key Arab and non-Arab states such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Turkey. Other non-states actors such as Iran, the Lebanese Shiite group, Hezbollah, Palestine Sunni group Hamas are against the U.S complicating its effort with foreign policy. Obama's vision has been to promote democracy, peace, and combat with terrorism. "Obama determination to settle peace between Israeli-Palestinian conflicts is not longer in doubt" (Patrick, 2009) it is a message he conveyed in the beginning of his presidency. But the truth is that if that Arabs wants peace and Palestinian want a State, they must cooperate to solve their internal conflicts and give the visionary president the support to succeed in his vision not left alone to do this. The middle east continue to struggle with the effect of global financial crisis, and a large number of socio-economic challenges including wide-spread of poverty, umpemplyment, income inequality ,population growth and water scarcity. The president has continued to advocate for economic and political reform to challenge this problems. It is hard to understand if P Obama has a vision because his more effort in global leadership while not putting emphasis on domestic problems, but the truth is that the president has a vision and he is ready to make a balance with both domestic and foreign policy. However it is really important we defend ourselves, and our security. We witnessed the tragic event of the 9/11 how we were attacked by Osama bin laden the al Qaida leader, we lost almost 3000 people, destroyed the global economic. President Obama's visions is to prevent another terror attack and for this reason his effort to captured or kill Osama Bin laden was an important experience in his vision for the security and protection of both the united states and it alleys."The death of Bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat Al Qaeda" (Obama, 2011). Global leadership requires the United States challenges numerous conflicts around the world and does whatever to preserve its national security. It cost a lot of money, resources and human sacrifice efforts for America to continue leading the world. To achieve this vision we ought to eliminate terrorism, control and put eyes on those countries producing large numbers of nuclear weapons with negatives intentions. In his vision the president stated. "Indeed, no nation should be better positioned to lead in an era of globalization than America" imagine the world without the U.S there wills so many instabilities around the world; many countries would still be under the regime of dictators, and terrorism would still be a threat. The absent of U.S leadership, diplomatic influence, economic power, military power and its generosity may have serious impacts to the world in negative ways. "What other nations could or would provide freedom of the seas of commerce, including the shipment of oil and gas-all for free?" (Brookes, 2006). What other country can promote peace and democracy the way the U.S does? Instead without the U.S there would be weapons of mass destruction everywhere. Most countries may miss the generosity of the United States which contributes 22% of the United Nations budget for the operation of the World Food Program which feeds 81 countries. Also, 17% of UNICEF, s cost to feed, educated, vaccinate, and protect children in 157 countries. We spent so much on information, technology, defense and health for the benefit of the U.S and the world. What about the ideas that shaped the world politics in which inspired countries around the world? The big five ideas-peace is better than war, hegemony is better than balance of power, capitalism is better than socialism, democracy is better than dictatorship, western culture is better than the rest. (Jentleson, and Weber, 2008) even though countries may come up with their own ideas to prosper they have been inspire by the U.S big five ideas which promoted peace, democracy, globalization, western culture, competition and U.S global leadership, this same ideas have shape Obama's vision for the united states. I do believe that the solution to our problems starts at home, for this reason I will shift towards from Obama's vision towards our domestic issues, as most American want the president to put more emphasis at home than abroad. According Obama we must invest in our economy and reduce our debts, we must educate our children and improve our knowledge, we ought to develop a clean power energy to preserve our planet develop science and seek for America innovation ,integrate our interest and mutual interest with other countries , preserve and protect our security. Many Americans wonder how we can take this step with no job and health care problem, it is evidently that president has improve this problem through his "American Job Act" However congress and other authorities of government should take part in solving some of our domestic problems. We must improve our health care system. In time of globalization we need to know that infectious diseases such as HIV/Aids or flu is also a national security issue, they can be a threat to our productivity and economies (James, 2009). Finally , "Without vision, the people perish" (Prov. 29:18).I do believe Obama vision is to see our nation rise again, the problems we facing today had been there for decades, but he has a vision that this problems have a solution. Our ability to lead the world depends much on ideas capabilities and power to continue to inspire than just military power. We need to come as one to solve our economic problems despite the differences of race or party. We need to strengthen our security and foreign policy for the defense of our national interest. People can predicts that America in few years will not be the world power, but the fact is that the U.S is still leading the world-economic, educational, and military, and we can still take measures to maintain this position just as Obama vision.
